One postdoc position is available to work on the project entitled ´Therapeutic vaccine based on aDC1 dendritic cells pulsed with inactivated autologous virus for the control of viremia after ATI in HIV infected individuals´, supported by FAPESP (Sao Paulo Research Foundation, Brazil). The research will be carried out at the Laboratory of Medical Investigation in Dermatology and Immunodeficiences of the University of Sao Paulo´s Medicine School -- FMUSP (São Paulo, SP, Brazil), with supervision from Professor Alberto Jose da Silva Duarte. The aim of this study is to evaluate safety, tolerance and immunological and virological impact of dendritic cell based immunotherapy for HIV infected patients. Requirements for this vacancy are PhD, preferably in the area of Immunology. The candidate should have experience of cell culture techniques. cultures for virus isolation, expansion and inactivation. flow cytometry. differentiation of dendritic cells. production of immunotherapeutic conditions under Good Manufacturing Practices and storage of samples in biorepository. Also, it is desirable experience in clinical trials. Additionally, the candidate must have good communication skills in English and Portuguese.
