Through our people, leadership development, services, technology and scale, GE delivers better outcomes for global customers by speaking the language of industry.** **Role Summary:** This Repair Engineering role, will identify, evaluate prioritize repair needs and, also, coordinate efforts to deliver CSA productivity / cost avoidance represent Repair Engineering teams via support of shop repair issues such as Departure Records, repair NPI, hardware cost/yield review, leading indicators, salvation reviews, and productivity improvement initiatives. RLE will support and entrepreneur processes related to engine overhauls including part triage reviews, scrap data analysis, **Essential Responsibilities:** + MCRB WIP tracking, part inspection engine cost reviews /controls, and processes reviews. Function as the essential connection between Life Cycle Engineering and Advanced Technologies Engineering and onsite personnel including shop engineering, CSA Black Belts, MCRB, LCE engineers, CTPs, shop Quality and powerplant engineers, as well as offsite organizations including PSE, Design, Systems, global engineers, and platform module teams. + Maximize Repair CSA productivity and cost avoidance to meet the targets by working directly with the Celma shop, the Life Cycle Engineering leaders, GE Engine Services Platforms, Services Engineering, and CTP engineers. + Represent Life Cycle Engineering and Advanced Technologies in the Celma shop driving the quality of repair development and industrialization, while tracking adherence to schedules, particularly when industrialization is required for CSA projects. + Influence Supply Chain, shop management and Engineering to make sure Celma shop is assigned as source in the necessary projects and that proper technical and business discussions are done during development. + Targeting to reduce risk of early Inquiries/PCRs post repair published. + Leverage expertise to resolve repair problems in the shop and improve quality and productivity by leveraging repair best practices among repair and overhaul shops, driving shop knowledge back into Repair Engineering for more effective repair development efforts. + Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for the Aviation Engineering Division in general and Repair Engineering and Advanced Technologies in specific Utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. + Be open to interact and guide different profile work colleagues in order to accomplish the various tasks associated to completing a project or objective. + Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project. + Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments. + Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues. + Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews with diverse audiences such as Business executives and principal engineering to conference calls and live audience. + Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures. + Be proficient in digital tools and shop IT tools where you can input and extract high value information to the effectivity of your objectives. + Contribute to the improvement and development of new tools. + Work directly with shop engineering to raise, track and close Repair Source Substantiation (RSS) and Process Change Notices (PCN) requests. + Make reviews of the records and create initiatives to identify and solve quality concerns as well as to improve lead time of RSS and PCN prioritization and approval. **Qualifications/Requirements:** + Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of IT, engineering, scientific or other technical experience). + At least 3 additional years of experience in an Aviation engineering position. **Desired Characteristics:** + Excellent understanding of CSA productivity, CMR/Fleet model processes and Material Cost Productivity, preferably with prior direct experience with these contracts and processesStrong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems + Strong oral and written communication skills + Strong interpersonal and leadership skills + Ability to guide and lead others through influencing skills + Familiarity and ability to work across multiple organizations: Aviation Engineering Division, Engine Services, Supply ChainDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsAbility to document, plan, market, and execute programs + Familiarity to and ability to learn the use of different digital tools **Locations:** Brazil; Petropolis GE offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
